The Old Adobe Mission, located at Main and Brown avenues in old town Scottsdale, was built from 1931 to 1933. The construction consists of over 6000 adobe bricks. In 1956, due to the mushrooming Catholic population, the parishioners moved to a larger church on Miller Road. The mission is currently used as a center of quiet and reflection for locals and tourists.
I express myself through digital art and photography. Some photographs are "straight from the lens", while others are subjected to "creative expressionism." Many times the art will take a life of its own, seldom ending up looking like the original idea. "I drifted into photography like one drifts into prostitution. First, I did it to please myself; then I did it to please my friends; and eventually, I did it for money. - Philippe Halsman" All images © Tim Hightower. All rights reserved.
